The original plan was to go to
The Ivy for Val's birthday last night. Now Jess and I were only invited because of Maddy which meant we were all meeting at her place around 7. By 12 that day I believe we had all discussed a dislike to the weather and were even contemplating not going. I didn't end up arriving till 7:30 anyway and Jess was even later than I was. I tried to convince Maddy to come but in the end her
end of year exams won over and she said she had to get up in the morning and study.
Which left with Jess and I with several clothing options at Maddy's place because we felt like the city but not exactly the Ivy.
Enter World Bar.
After dropping the car back at mine and getting changed, mum took us up to the station where we caught the train in. Never had we seen so many transit officers, there had to be more than 10, all bundled up together and looking warm if I might add. Which was more than I could say about what I was wearing. When the train actually arrived it was like watching a machine. They each two on two like Tweedledum and Tweedledee lined up for each carriage to ask for people's tickets and student cards. Jess and I at this point had not even put ours away! When they asked for them, it was the old fat guy that was like I believe you...the young one however was like "I'll check them" like good god can you be any rude? Then at Gymea the train driver refused to leave until the guy holding open the doors was kicked off the train...not smart when you had at least a dozen transit officers on the same train as you.
I messaged everyone I knew that lived near enough to the city to see if they wanted to meet up. Adam was broke and he was getting up early to go surfing, Kim and Liz were at an album launch but were going to meet us at the KB bar after, Sean said he would come.
So since Kim and Liz said they would meet us we went to the KB bar. It's always been known for the best and most amazing apple martinis you could ever have in your life! What do we get! A bartender who does not know how to make them, and the prices have gone up from $5. So we just got a house wine each and waited. That's when Nathaniel and Matt's two friends came over (Two guys from the army) to join in and keep two girls company. Neighbour Jess or I wanted them there but we talked to them all the same. For an HOUR. It was just 11 when Jess left me with the two of them because she needed to go to the bathroom and of course there was a line in there. ELLEN!!!! haha (Just some girl that I was introduced to there) I managed to hold myself together in a conversation with now three guys. When Jess did come back though we got out of there right away as Kim and Liz were going to be at least another hour away - dam you
The Holidays :P
We caught a taxi up to the cross, and things only got better when we got there the guy asked us "how many were in our party" and let us cut to the very shorter line (which only had girls in it i may add) and got in within 5 minutes. Tea pots I do think so. It was the first thing Jess and I did, despite having to wait a while. We had to have been there possibly at least and hour before we met up with Kim and Liz and didn't actually leave world bar till 2:30am (thats a guess for all I know it was earlier or later). I met up with Sean and his friend Atticus outside and when I went to get back int he guy was like 'you've been asked to leave' by this point I didn't want to play any bullshit and was like by who? Needless I was let back in - his mistake.
I met a guy. I can't remember his name over the music blaring but he has ... an accent hahah we wants to go out for drinks sometime :P He was nice.
We left soon after that to head to oxford art factory which we learnt taxi's are evil! They wouldn't take us because it was not a large enough fair for them despite being able to get another one of oxford street easily enough! BASTARDS I SAY KILL THEM ALL (no not really) So we walked, in heals from Kings Cross asking for directions along the way. Because neither Jess or I have ever walked from KC to OS. We got there in the end, with anti-taxi song on jess iphone as well. Good times.
We didn't know which was the entrance...which brought up into a lesbian bar we were like why are there so many girls here??? I just really needed to pee and then we got out of there and into Oxford Art for free :) We must have just missed lockout because as we were leaving they were not letting anyone else back in. Basically we went to Oxford because that was where sean was. Honestly if we didn't want to go home it was only a five minute walk to adam's place :P With not being able to get a taxi and with jess having to work at 10am we headed to town hall walking of course again.
The bus ride worked out well. Kim and Liz were on it :P Though all these guys thought Kim was amanda and Liz was scout (their names when we go out) we had a lovely conversation with them the whole way back with one of them asking me if Kim and I were sisters. Then when I said we were not he asked if we all went to school together. Another no. I said we all play soccer together and lucky they got off the next station.
By this point i was ready to be sick, having oportos and getting free large chips we gave to a hobo was not the best idea after so much alcohol. When I got home, before I even made it inside i was sick :( at least i felt much better and it may have saved me from a hangover (one which I can still say to this day I've never had).
THAT WAS MY NIGHT!
Now though as I type this the day after, I'm troubled and worried. One of my best friends is in the hospital right now for who knows what and I have both matts with her now keeping me updated so I can update Meel. I feel just as sack as I did last night. I want her to be ok... I'll ball my eyes out and the moment I can go up there without getting kicked out I'm going. Matt's only still there because he told them if they can move him then to try but he's not going anywhere. I have my fingers crossed and while I don't have a large amount of faith in the religious area I pray that she's going to be ok. She's Chanel after all and I know she's strong, probably one of the strongest people I know in life.
